AHMEDABAD: Australia captain Ricky Ponting scored his first international century in over a year when he reached three figures in the World Cup quarterfinal against co-hosts India on Thursday. Ponting had not scored a hundred in 39 international innings across all formats since making 106 against the West Indies in a one-day international in Brisbane on February 14 last year.
