UFC 115 Results - Latest UFC 115 Results

UFC 115 perhaps ushered in MMA legend Chuck Liddell's (21-8) last fight. Liddell, who has been a participant in many of UFC's biggest bouts, was knocked out cold with a few seconds left in round one. UFC 115 took place at the General Motors Place in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada on Saturday, June 12, 2010. Both fighters weighed in at 205 lbs.

The Santa Barbara, California native received a huge right power punch from the Rich Franklin (26-5). Liddell would leave the octagon minutes later with a bloodied nose as well as a cut above his left eye. Liddell is UFC's former heavyweight champion while Franklin is former middleweight champion.

Both fighters felt out the initial part of the round with several leg kicks. Franklin would later say that he broke one of his arms early in the first round after blocking one of Liddell's leg kicks.

Liddell successfully took down his opponent but Franklin would manage to get up. Liddell is not known for his grappling or takedown prowess, but his size does enable him to exert considerable force when attempting to take down opponents. Liddell typically employs a boxing fight style with lightning jabs and straight punches that could knock out an opponent.

Liddell's takedown resulted in a cut slightly above his left eyebrow, which probably stemmed from a headbutt. The streaking blood would only encourage his opponent.

Sometime after the four minute mark, Liddell rushed in in what appeared to be another takedown move but Franklin's right hand landed sqaure upstairs, knocking out the MMA legend. It was a perfectly timed shot. It appears that Chuck Liddell's MMA fighting days are numbered.
