It was ranked 10th among all Private engineering colleges in INDIA, and 36th among all engineering colleges (private and public) in the country by OUTLOOK 2008. Although its always better not to go by rankings as there is always a chance of manipulation and influence. Its 'School Of Chemical and Biotechnology' was ranked 1st among all private institutions in the country, and 2nd (overall) in india.

In February-March 2007, the college hosted the first edition of its inter-college national-level Technical Festival Daksh and also the inter-college cultural Kuruksastra. In February-March 2008, they hosted the second edition of Daksh and Kuruksastra.

In February 2009 the third edition of the technical fest DAKSH took place. It had a great environment lasting 3 days although it lacked the enthusiasm and number of national, leave alone the international participants for its various events. After the failure of DAKSH very high hopes were pinned on KURUKSASTRA[the cultural event] but disappointment never stays behind, it caught up with us once again. Although the performance of some colleges were appreciable but it lacked the energy. The PRONITE was the the most appreciated event among the other events. It had a large number of fans gathered to view the performance of Benny Dayal and Naresh Iyer much to the relief of south folks.

The University has various clubs, stretching from environmental ones to technical ones. The club GLOSS is sponsored by Sun Microsystems, while the club "Icon" deals with soft skills. The "iClub", which has been recently introduced, provides seminars and interactive sessions on popular subjects.
