82nd Academy Awards® Nominees on Oscar®

Beverly Hills, CA — Current Oscar nominees Jeff Bridges, Sandra Bullock, Matt Damon, Anna Kendrick, Carey Mulligan and Quentin Tarantino will present on the 82nd Academy Awards, telecast producers Bill Mechanic and Adam Shankman announced today.

Bridges received his fifth Oscar nomination for his lead performance in “Crazy Heart.” He previously earned a nomination for his leading role in “Starman” (1984) and nominations for his supporting performances in “The Last Picture Show” (1971), “Thunderbolt and Lightfoot” (1974) and “The Contender” (2000).

Bullock, Mulligan and Kendrick are first-time nominees, Bullock and Mulligan for their leading performances in “The Blind Side” and “An Education,” respectively, and Kendrick for her supporting role in “Up in the Air.” All three films are also nominated for Best Picture.

Damon’s nomination for supporting actor for “Invictus” marks his third. In 1997 he won an Oscar for Writing (Screenplay Written Directly for the Screen) “Good Will Hunting.” Damon was also nominated for his lead performance for that film.

Tarantino’s nominations for writing and directing “Inglourious Basterds” are his third and fourth. In 1994 he was nominated for writing and directing “Pulp Fiction” and took home the Oscar for Original Screenplay. “Inglourious Basterds” is also a contender for Best Picture.

Academy Awards for outstanding film achievements of 2009 will be presented on Sunday, March 7, 2010, at the Kodak Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center®, and televised live by the ABC Television Network beginning at 5 p.m. PT/ 8 p.m. ET. The Oscar presentation also will be televised live in more than 200 countries worldwide.
