Sonata Software stock was among the top gainers

Mumbai: The Sonata Software stock was among the top gainers of the day in the market, after its price went up by over 18 percent. After starting the day at Rs. 47.90, during the day the stock touched its 52 week high of Rs. 57.35, before ending trade at Rs. 56.65, an 18.51 percent gain from its previous close. During the day, 3,592,711 Sonata Software shares were traded in the market with the current P/E ratio of the stock at 10.89. The 52 week stock price chart is on the left.

Sonata Software, together with its subsidiaries, Sonata Information Technology, Offshore Digital Services Incorporated, Sonata Software GmbH, Sonata Europe Limited, TUI InfoTec GmbH and Sonata Software FZ LLC is a provider of information technology service globally. The company has a product line business in India, which mainly deals with computer software products of Microsoft, IBM and Oracle.

The company also provides both onsite, as well as offshore services in the area of enterprise resource planning (ERP) customization conversion and migration projects, data warehousing, business intelligence, Web development and infrastructure management. The company conducts its operations in India and internationally. Recently, the company said that its third quarter results would be announced on January 19. The one analyst following the stock currently recommends to buy the stock. UTI Mahila Unit Scheme holds the highest number of Sonata Software shares, with 260,000 shares in its portfolio.
