Sree Prasannanjaneya Swamy Devastanam
Sree Prasannanjaneya Swamy Devastanam stands one among the powerful hanuman temples established in 15th century of ‘rayala’ dynasty. This hanuman temple is located in a village named kondapuram which is situated 8km from gorantla mandal of Anantapur district, Andhra Pradesh, India. After the death of the great Sri Krishnadevaraya, this temple was partly devastated and was left unnoticed by the people.
Later It was in 1984, Sri Karanam Vivekananda murthy of the same village refurbished the temple and started the regular pujas and offerings to the lord God Hanuman. But as there was no financial assistance, only the ‘vara pujas’ were being performed since 25 years.
This is not only an ancient temple but is also considered to be the one with legendary powers. The ‘pratyekatha’ of this temple is that the lord God Hanuman of this ‘devasthanam’ faces the west which is said to be very rare and powerful. It is believed that childless parents who served god for mandalam(40 days) here will be freed from bad elements and will be blessed with ‘santhaanam’(children). Many devotees in distress who have approached the lord for blessings have experienced the power of the temple.
