Sonia Gandhi has been Invited to FIFA Worldcup

New Delhi: South African President Jacob Zuma Friday invited Congress president Sonia Gandhi to watch the FIFA world cup that begins there June 11. According to a ministry of external affairs official, Zuma conveyed the invitation to the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) chairperson when she called on him Friday evening.

However, it was not immediately known if Gandhi accepted the invitation.

Gandhi was also invited to attend the centenary celebrations of African National Congress in 2012.
