Review of Ravana - High Collections at Box Offices
The movie is a Abhishek Bachhan, Aishwarya Rai and Vikram Kennedy starrer under the direction of Mani Ratnam. Produced under the banner of Madras Talkies the movie has already created huge shores of expectations and anxiety all over!
The cascade of great names of the cast and crew with the magnificent premiere in London with the Big-B and King Khan gets us mandate to watch it out! The movie clips portraying Aishwarya with her real-life husband-Abhishek Bachchan together in ‘Ravana’ (the name an epical villain character) pulls our keenness towards it all the more!
The story line of Ravana is basically the modern sequel of Indian epic-‘Ramayana’.
Shot mostly in Tumkur, Kamataka, Kerala, Ooty and Jhansi which falls in Southern India, Aishwarya plays the role of a musician-Ragini, the south Indian famous actor Vikram Kennedy roles as her husband- Veer Pratap, a cop by profession and Abhishek Bachchan as Beera.
The story makes you delve into the psyche of Beera who considers himself to be the sole owner of the lush flora surrounded with gushes of backwaters and swift flowing lakes and ponds, doing things which are morally justified but stand against laws!
Veer, the cop tries to over-shadow Beera’s supremacy over such activities by threats. Beera’s anger boomerangs Veer by abducting his wife-Ragini. The story moves on with streams entangled with revenge and love, lust and betrayal. Along with the wrangle between the two protagonists, we also can have our eyes stuck at the spectacular tussle between a wife’s mind and a women’s heart!
As the caption of the Movie reads-“Ten Heads, Ten Minds, Hundred Voices and ONE Man”… is aptly justified in regards to its story line as well as to the epical name with its stunning depiction of the different flavors of the human aspects!
