Kolkata Municipal Election 2010 - West Bengal Municipal Election 2010 - Election Results

Kolkata (west bengal) - 2nd June, 2010: Municipal Election Results West Bengal 2010: According to the latest reports for 88 seats in the Kolkata Municipal Corporation, Trinamool Congress candidates are leading in 53 seats.

At the same time, the Left Front is leading in 31 seats. It seems that it’s the end of the era of the left and starting of Mamta Banerjee led Trinamool Congress.

The Left Front was running the Kolkata Municipal Corporation since 2005. Earlier, on Wednesday, the Trinamool chief Mamata Banerjee said that she is ‘confident’ of her party’s victory in the civic polls.

Trinamool Congress had fought separate in the polls from its ally Congress in the latest pollsof Kolkata Municipal Corporation and all the municipalities spread across the state.
