GGSIPU CET 2010 - GGSIPU Results Announced

Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU or IPU), named after Tenth Guru of Sikhs is an affiliating and teaching University in Delhi India. The University was established by the Government of NCT of Delhi under the provisions of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha Vishwavidyalaya Act in 1998, read with its Amendment in 1999 and is affiliated to the University Grants Commission.

This University was established as Indraprastha University (IPU) by passing a bill in delhi legislative assembly on 28 March, 1998. Later it was renamed as Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) by Sheila Dixit led Govt.

Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University was initially set-up to ease the burden of the University of Delhi, it has emerged as an alternative to it as well. GGSIPU aims to facilitate and promote studies, research and extension work in emerging areas of higher education with focus on professional education in the disciplines of engineering, technology, architecture, management, medicine, pharmacy, physiotherapy, nursing, education, law, journalism and mass communication, etc. Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University is counted amongst the pioneers of education in India.
