Congratulating our National Champions - Hawaii

"On behalf of the people of Hawai`i, I want to extend a warm mahalo for proudly representing our state on the national level,” Lt. Governor Aiona said.

During a proclamation ceremony at the State Capitol, the Lt. Governor congratulated the Lady Sea Warriors and coaches for their first national title after defeating Valdosta State University with a 4-3 score. Their final game marked a 50-8 season.

"Your achievements exemplify an impressive never-give-up attitude that will serve you both on and off the field," Lt. Governor Aiona added. "I also applaud the efforts of the HPU coaching staff, who encourage discipline and teamwork in their student athletes, in addition to promoting respect for both teammates and opponents."
