U.S. Embassy Bogot

On March 1, 2010, U.S. Embassy Bogot=E1 will implement the new electronic visa application system, known as CEAC. This system, which is being adopted worldwide this spring, should make the nonimmigrant visa application process easier for everyone. Instead of filling in an application by hand, you'll now be able to fill it out online and print only the final confirmation screen to bring to your visa interview.

Join us on February 19 at 2 p.m. EST (19:00 GMT) for a two-hour webchat to discuss the new procedures and how these changes will affect your next visa application. Answering questions will be a consular officer with more than a year of visa experience at the embassy in Bogot=E1, and a member of the consular section's local staff responsible for implementing these changes who has more than 15 years of experience at the embassy. We look forward to answering your questions!

If you would like to participate in this webchat, please go to https://statedept.connectsolutions.com/espanol. No registration is needed. Simply choose "Enter as a Guest," type in your preferred screen name, and join the discussion. We accept questions and comments in advance of, and at any time during, the program.

The transcript of this webchat will be available on America.gov's webchat page, where information about upcoming webchats is also available.
