HCL, Cisco eyes on Security Solutions Services

HCL Security, a wholly-owned subsidiary of hardware major HCL Infosystems, has signed an agreement with technology firm Cisco to provide Internet Protocol-based safety and security solutions in India and abroad.

Initially, the collaboration will provide safety and security solutions in India, which would be extended to other countries later, the company said in a statement. HCL Security will use Cisco's technology to build a command-and-control centre for security solutions.

"The role of integrated systems in today's security environment cannot be over emphasised," said HCL Security Chief Executive Rothin Bhattacharyya.

"Our collaboration with Cisco is a huge step in providing such integrated, best-in-class systems in India and in other markets," he added. (IANS)
