PVNR Expressway inauguration, India's longest flyover 11.6 KMs built at cost of 600 crores

India's Longest Flyover 11.6 KM PVN Expressway, will be inaugurated by Andhra pradesh chief minister Mr.Rosaiah in Hyderabad on Monday. Flyover has built at cost of 600 crores.

News Before Construction
The Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority is developing the Rs 439-crore PVNR Expressway, an elevated corridor from Sarojini Devi eye hospital to Aramghar Junction, to provide better and faster connectivity to the international airport at Shamshabad.

The project comprises three main components i.e. an 11.46-km four-lane elevated expressway, a 3.9-km long trumpet interchange and a 62-metre underpass.

The trumpet interchange, a four-lane divided carriageway, is completed. Also, the underpass at Amargarh Junction on NH-7 has been completed and is likely to be opened for public use by January 2009. The Inner Ring Road from Rethibowli Junction to Aramgarh Junction has been strengthened and widened with six lanes.Span Consultants Pvt. Ltd is the consultant for the project, while Simplex Infrastructures Ltd has been appointed as the EPC and civil contractor for the expressway. The entire project is scheduled to be completed by June 2009.
