Nokia has signed a agreement with Tanla Solutions

Hyderabad: Nokia has signed a five-year agreement with Tanla Solutions to use the latter's licence management, mobile payments and professional services. The licence manager will help in keeping track of the licence periods of various applications offered on Nokia smartphones. The mobile payment option will allow transactions between the users and Nokia for payments for various applications.

"We enable transactions in 160 countries through mobile operators and credit card billing. This service is being used by various software vendors, application developers and content providers," Uday Reddy, Chairman and Managing Director of Tanla Solutions, told Business Line. He, however, declined to divulge the size of revenues that might result out of the agreement. Licence manager will give fixed revenues but mobile payment services will yield transaction-based revenues.
