Srikanth's 100th movie Mahatma has released today, October 9, 2009. The movie is based on the the present day social and political scenario The movie has been directed by Krishna Vamsi, who took the responsibility fo giving Srikanth some different kind of a role which involved a lot of responsibility also. The movie is intended to remind people about Mahatma Gandhi, the father of the nation, the awakening of his principles from slumber and finally ends showing that Mahatma is a forgone conlusion. Only one person cannot change the whole country and it is impossible to bring a change. More than one individyual is required to achieve this, but it was possible by none other than the one and only Mahatma.
Srikanth plays the role of a rowdy character called Das, who gets attracted to the film industry and then gets very much influenced by Mahatma Gandhi's ideologies and principles. The whole movie revolves arond the character of Das who's awesome performance in the movie will surely be remebered. Charmi's skimpy item song will also pull crowds to the theatre along with some other nice songs, which would be liked by the audience.

The movie leaves a message for the politicians and would be an eye opener for them, who crave only for power and weath and want to pass it over to their family. Despite some wonderful work by Srikanth, the movie ends on a dull note and overall gets a three star rating. An average film, can be watched once.
