Lakshmi Mittal tops UK football rich list

Bangalore: ArcelorMittal Chief Lakshmi Mittal is named as the richest man in British football. According to the 2009 FourFourTwo.com rich list, the London-based Indian steel magnate, who brought 20 percent stake in Queens Park Rangers Football Club for 2,00,000 in 2007 is worth an estimated pounds 18.4 billion.

Mittal is ranked above 2008 richest man, Manchester City owner Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed al Nahyan, the brother of the ruler of oil-rich Abu Dhabi, who has a fortune of 17 billion, in the annually-published English football magazine's list.
