Google+ Invitation - Request one from us!

Google's upcoming social networking service "Google+" goes under testing with fewer Invites (PPL). As it is not yet available for public & Google Indicated on their website as:

"At the moment, we're testing with a small number of people, but it won't be long before the Google+ project is ready for everyone. Leave us your email address and we'll make sure that you're the first to know when we're ready to invite more people."

GIST - Global Innovation through Science & Technology

GIST Initiative Launches Innovation and Entrepreneurship Programs. At the recent conference on Economic Development through Science and Technology Innovation, the State Department-sponsored Global Innovation through Science and Technology (GIST) initiative launched two programs that will foster innovation and technology entrepreneurship through social networking, skill development, and financing.


GIST Accelerator Network (GISTnet) - A web-based social media platform that provides mentorship, resources and tools for young entrepreneurs to collaborate, connect with investors and accelerate technology commercialization. Incorporating popular social networking tools, GISTnet will also facilitate participation in competitions, discussion lists and enable real-time access to training, education and events.

Google Introduced a new content promoting/recommending tool called '+1'. This feature helps users to create their own recommendations directly on to their Google Profile. '+1' also helps Google to get you the most relevant results which are recommended by some of the users like you.


More information available in the Official Google Blog: Today we’re taking that a step further, enabling you to share recommendations with the world right in Google’s search results. It’s called +1—the digital shorthand for “this is pretty cool.” To recommend something, all you have to do is click +1 on a webpage or ad you find useful.
